This website is operated by FULL LEGAL / TRADING NAME, trading as Alster Mind, a sole trader established in COUNTRY OF ESTABLISHMENT.

Confirmation required. Because Alster Mind offers services to clients located in the European Union, EU data protection law can apply to this processing even though the business is established outside the EU. Whether a formal EU representative must be appointed depends on the scale and nature of the processing. See section 8.

There are two ways to reach us, and they behave differently.

The contact form. When you submit it, we receive the details you entered:

• Your name and email address (both required).
• Your company name and telephone number, if you choose to provide them (both optional).
• The topic you selected and the content of your message.
• Your IP address and browser user-agent, recorded with the submission to detect abuse of the form.

You must actively confirm that your details may be processed before the form can be sent. Submitting it triggers two emails: a notification to us, and an automatic confirmation to the address you entered. There is no file upload, and nothing you type is written to a database — your message exists only as email.

The chat assistant. The assistant is optional — nothing is processed unless you open it and write to it. When you do, the messages in that conversation are sent to Anthropic, which generates the reply. The conversation is held in your browser for the duration of your visit and is not stored in a database by us. If, during the conversation, you give your name, email address and a description of your enquiry and ask for it to be passed on, those details are emailed to us in the same way a contact form submission would be. Your IP address is recorded with the request to detect abuse of the endpoint. The assistant identifies itself as an AI at the top of the chat window, and it does not quote prices or delivery dates.

Email and telephone links. These open your own email client or phone app, so nothing is submitted through this website at all. We then receive whatever you choose to send.

Either way, we use what you send solely to answer you and, if it leads to work, to carry out the project and keep the records our tax and accounting obligations require. We never use it for marketing, and we never pass it to anyone beyond the providers named in section 4.

Like any website, this one is served by infrastructure that records technical information in order to deliver pages and stay secure:

• IP address (processed by the hosting provider; not stored by us in an identifiable form).
• Browser type and version, and device and operating system information.
• Requested page, referring page, and the date and time of the request.
• Server logs generated by the hosting provider.
• Aggregated performance and page-view metrics.

These are the only external services this website uses. We have listed each one and what it does. Nothing else is embedded in the code.

Vercel — hosting. The site is hosted and delivered by Vercel Inc. (USA). Vercel processes request data, including IP addresses, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Their infrastructure generates standard server logs.

Vercel Analytics — audience measurement. Loaded in the production environment only. Vercel Analytics is a privacy-oriented, cookieless product: it records aggregated page views and performance metrics and does not set cookies or build cross-site profiles of individual visitors.

Resend — contact form delivery. Form submissions are delivered as email by Resend (resend.com). Resend processes the contents of your submission solely in order to transmit it and does not use it for its own purposes. This applies only when you use the form; it plays no part in ordinary page visits.

Anthropic — chat assistant. The replies in the chat assistant are generated by Anthropic PBC (USA). Messages you send in the chat are transmitted to Anthropic in order to produce a response. Anthropic states that data submitted through its API is not used to train its models. This applies only if you choose to use the assistant; it plays no part in ordinary page visits.

Typefaces. Fonts are self-hosted. They are downloaded at build time and served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send your IP address to a font provider.

No advertising or profiling technologies are used. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising network, no session recording and no heat mapping on this site. We do record a small number of anonymous interaction events through Vercel Analytics — for example that a form was submitted, or that the language was switched — which contain no personal data and cannot be traced back to you.

Confirmation required. Your email is handled by a separate provider, which is not part of this website. Add that provider here — EMAIL PROVIDER — together with any other tool used to manage client correspondence, files or invoicing.

Our hosting provider and the provider of the chat assistant are established in the United States, so data may be processed outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area.

Confirmation required.Where transfers of EU personal data are involved, an appropriate safeguard is normally relied on, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in the provider’s data processing agreement. Confirm the mechanism your provider offers and name it here rather than leaving it general.

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and are then deleted. Project correspondence and records are kept for the period required by the tax and accounting rules applicable to us — RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 7 YEARS. Server logs and aggregated analytics are retained according to the provider’s own schedule.

This website does not use cookies. It stores a single value in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you chose German or English, so your choice survives a reload. It contains no identifier and is not shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Full detail is on the Cookie & Storage Policy page.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@alstermind.de.

Visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom may also lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority.

Confirmation required. If EU data protection law applies to this business, there may be an obligation to designate a representative inside the EU, subject to the exemptions for occasional, low-risk processing. This depends on facts only you can confirm — where you are established, and the scale of your processing. Take advice on this point before launch and record the outcome here.
